West Virginia Wesleyan College is a four-year intuition offering more than 39 majors and 39 minors of study as well as graduate programs in athletic training, business administration and education. Additional programs include arts administration, International Studies, marketing, Psychology and more. West Virginia Wesleyan College is affiliated with the United Methodist church and was founded in 1890 by the West Virginia Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. West Virginia Wesleyan is one of 146 colleges and universities to be named "Best Southeastern College for 2008" by the Princeton Review.

The college is located in the mountainous region of the Allegheny valley in Buckhannon, West Virginia, close to Charlestown and the city of Pittsburgh offering a wide array of activities both on and off campus. The campus itself boasts scenic surroundings as well as state of the art facilities for students to take advantage of. Some include the Learning Center and the Annie Merner Pfeiffer Library.

In addition to the diverse academic program at Wesleyan, there are numerous extracurricular activities for students. NCAA Division II Inter collegiate athletics are offered for both men and women. Some sports programs include baseball, basketball, golf and soccer. Students can also take advantage of over 70 student organizations such as the engineering/Physics Club, the Green Club and the 4-H club.

West Virginia Wesleyan has a notable financial aid program for students offering numerous scholarships and opportunities for aid. More than $15,000,000 in aid each year is given to assist students and greater than 90% of students receive aid at West Virginia Wesleyan. There are also numerous scholarship programs. Most recently, West Virginia Wesleyan will offer four-year renewable visual arts scholarships that range from $500 to $2,000 per year. The scholarship program is open to high school seniors and college transfer students.
