Western Nevada College-Douglas Campus, established 1997, is one of three community colleges within the Nevada
system of higher education. Students can earn two-year associate degrees, numerous career-oriented certificates of achievement, dual
high school/college credits, or take classes that transfer toward a baccalaureate degree.
More than 500 students attend WNC Douglas Campus. Academic divisions include:
business and computer technology; communications and fine arts;
nursing and allied health; science, mathematics &
engineering; social science, education, humanities and public service; and technology.
Western Nevada College-Douglas Campus has an open door admissions policy. Since there is no pre-admission standards, new students are not required to provide transcripts of previous educational experiences.
Quick Facts
Students at Western Nevada College-Douglas Campus participating in the athletics program must be enrolled full-time for a minimum of 12 credits each semester and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 in all classes.
The WNC Douglas Campus was built on ten acres donated by a local businessman.
