Western Nevada College-Lovelock Center is part of the community colleges within the Nevada system of higher education. Western Nevada college-Lovelock Center offers students both general college courses that lead to associate degrees and certificates, as well as career preparation classes.

WNC Lovelock utilizes traditional classroom instruction, interactive video, and web-based classes. Western Nevada college-Lovelock Center also works closely with Pershing County Hospital and students looking to earn a nursing degree, as well as Nevada State College and students seeking a degree in elementary education.

Western Nevada Colleges have an open door admissions policy. Because there is no pre-admission standards, new students are not required to provide transcripts of previous educational experiences.
