Western Texas College, a truly different and exciting two-year community college, is dedicated to helping its students go as far as their interests and abilities will allow. Western Texas College is committed to extending educational opportunities and learning resources to all its students. This two-year college offers a wide range of courses including business, criminal justice, agriculture, journalism, golf and landscape technology, welding, and nursing, just to name a few. The primary objective of all Western Texas college's programs is to provide a quality education.   • Western Texas college received the Title V Grant, the largest grant in school history, which will bring $2.4 million to the school over the next five years.
  • Western Texas College's rodeo program has an outstanding record for graduating and transferring its student/athletes to four-year colleges and universities both in and outside Texas.
  • The community college competes in the A Division of the American Meat Science Association. Team members are selected from the Live Animal and Carcass Evaluation classes. Teams evaluate beef, lamb and pork carcasses, as well as wholesale beef and pork cuts, and learn to yield grade beef carcasses.
  • The Western Texas College Farm is 292 acres with 80 acres in cultivation and 212 acres in native grasses. The farm provides students with hands-on experience to supplement their studies.
