Texas community college promotes lifelong learning through its emphasis on academic and personal development.
Students can attend classes at the main campus in Wharton, extension campuses in Sugar Land and Richmond, and additional sites in Bay City, El Campo, and Palacios. Wharton County Junior College offers more than 35 degree programs through six divisions:
Allied Health; Communication and Fine Arts; Life Sciences; Math and Physical Science; Social and Behavioral Science; and Technology and
business. Adult learning and
distance learning opportunities are also available through the Division of Workforce Development, Continuing Education, and Distance Learning.
The athletic department at Wharton County Junior College offers teams in women's volleyball, men's baseball, and men's and women's rodeo. Students can also participate in a variety of organizations on campus including student government, intramural activities, performance ensembles, and academic competitions.
