William Jewell College, founded in 1849, is a four-year, private, Christian, coeducational liberal arts institution located among the rolling hills of western Missouri. The 200-acre campus has a small-town feel while being only 20 minutes from downtown Kansas City.

There are approximately 1,200 full-time day students and 200 students enrolled in evening classes in attendance at the Missouri college. William Jewell College offers more than 60 academic degrees including Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and degrees in non-profit leadership, pre-professional programs and self-designed majors.

William Jewell College offers its students unique programs to pick from including the new Applied Critical Thought and Inquiry major, which enables students to graduate with a secondary major by completing the liberal arts core plus three applied learning experiences. However, the academic flagship program of William Jewell is the Oxbridge Honors Program. In this program, students participate in one-on-one tutorials with faculty tutors and spend their junior year at Cambridge or Oxford. This is the only program of its kind in the United States.
