Founded in 1972, Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College offers a technical education with a focus on career preparation and personal effectiveness. Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, WITC consists of campuses in Ashland, New Richmond, Superior, and Rice Lake; branch campuses at Hayward and Ladysmith; and the Washburn County Learning Center in Spooner.

Students at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College can choose from more than 50 career programs ranging from information technology to dairy herd management. A wide range of programs leading to a technical diploma or short-term certificates are available as well. Through the continuing education program, students can pursue customized training and personal enrichment courses.

Student housing is available on or near the campuses in Ashland, Rice Lake, and Superior; off-campus listings are also available through Student Services. Students can participate in various organizations on each campus, including professional associations, yearbook, intramural sports, and student senate.
