Founded in 1831, Xavier University is a private coeducational university located in Cincinnati, OH.  Cincinnati is headquarters to nine Fortune 500 companies and two professional sports teams. ·       Xavier's 34th Jesuit president is Michael J. Graham, S.J., who was inaugurated in Fall 2001. He succeeded James E. Hoff, S.J., who, after nearly 10 years of service to the University, retired in December 2000. Graham has been with Xavier since 1984, beginning his work here as an adjunct professor of history. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1978 and was ordained as a priest in 1988.
